What's your mountain? The next challenge ...

Hi my name’s Ian. As a family, my wife Rachael, my two beautiful daughters and myself are living with Motor Neurone Disease following my diagnosis in March 2019 and after successfully completing the two 100 Mile Trek fundraising challenges in 2021, we have decided to do something slightly different…

What's your mountain? The next challenge ...

We are aiming to climb Mount Snowdon in my off road wheelchair, otherwise known as the Tangerine Dream Machine! We are raising money for the Leeds Hospitals Charity appeal to build the Rob Burrow Centre for MND which will provide specialist care within a place of dignity and hope, and for the MND Association who provide national support and assistance direct to the MND community alongside spearheading research into hopefully one day a cure.

Like all families living with MND we have faced many mountains, which fortunately for us have been navigated with the gentle guidance and support of the MND Team in Leeds and the MND Association. The emotional, physical and practical support provided by these wonderful people is nothing short of inspiring and incredibly humbling, which is why we are determined to continue doing everything we can to support people living with this cruel disease now and in the future.

And this is where you come in, we really need your help.

We would be incredibly grateful for each and every donation to help us raise much needed funds for a dedicated centre that provides respite, research, resources and overall a sense of hope for the MND community and for the exceptional and extraordinary people who look after us, who were there at the beginning of our journey and I know will be there at the end.

Thank you,

Ian and Rachael xx
