The 100 Mile Trek

Hello! My Name is Ian and I have MND. I know that neither my family nor myself would be as at peace with my condition without the wonderful support of Saint Michael’s Hospice and the MND Association. I am completing The 100 Mile Trek to raise much needed funds for these incredible people.

The 100 Mile Trek

The 100 Mile Trek starts at the beautiful Malham Tarn before winding through North Yorkshire including parts of Swaledale, Wharfedale and Nidderdale. Our adventure eventually concludes with our favourite walk through the stunning grounds of Bolton Abbey and The Strid.

The 100 Mile Trek is a succession of 20 walks starting on 26th May and concluding at Bolton Abbey on 19th June. The route is a celebration of the many fabulous places my family and I have enjoyed over the years. Our friends have added one or two new ones, which they have kindly scoped out to make sure The Tangerine Dream Machine doesn’t encounter any stiles or impassable rivers!

We have been humbled by the support, dedication and excellence of the people who have chosen to look after me and my family over the last couple of years, we are so looking forward to being joined by many of them on these walks. This is one of the ways in which we want to say a heartfelt thank you to these incredibly special people and organisations, without whom I’m sure life would be a wee bit more challenging.

With your help and support we can make a difference to people’s lives by ensuring they can benefit from the same critical help, support and guidance that we have been privileged to receive.

Every donation is crucial and thoroughly appreciated, please, please help us support these incredible charities.
